Nono the Movie
Last week, we wrapped up shooting for the independent film “Nono”. The movie is about a brave, bold and charming young boy named Toto who is afflicted with a harelip. Though he is painfully aware of his speech impediment, he is not deterred by his desire to join the school’s declamation contest.
I play Glenda, Toto’s mother and I have to say that I am so proud and so honored to have been given a opportunity to be part of this film. Written and directed by Milo Tolentino, the script has already won a grant from the Script Development Fund of the Busan Film Festival in South Korea. It makes me so proud to be part of a film that has won an award even before it was made!
The film is in its post production phase, getting ready for the film festival premiere in October 2011.
