“Chantecaille – you must know how to pronounce it right. Shaun-Tuh-Kai” Francis tells me with a twinkle in his eye. Francis, being Francis Labora – business development manager for Art of Scent PH. He is such a character and there’s so much fun and passion for perfumes in his being that you just can’t help but love scents too.
Chantecaille is not new in the market. In fact, the company carries a formidable reputation as a cause-metics company. When Chantecaille says that they are concerned about the environment, they validate the statement with verifiable personal action from the top brass herself, Sylvie Chantecaille.
Chantecaille is a French-NewYorker company that use exceptionally high percentage of natural ingredients combined with science to create highest quality products that treats inflam-ageing. I just love the way they play with words. Inflam-ageing is the latest beauty buzzword that’s a play on inflammation and ageing. The company attests that they use all natural ingredients that are sustainable, non-toxic, all natural and pure. They do not test on animals and do not use palm oil.
Now, while they are known for their skincare and cosmetics. Here in the Philippines, they’re starting the brand with their fragrance line – all high concentration perfumes that are specially designed by Sylvie Chantecaille. Each fragrance represents an experience or a memory that is personal to Sylvie and yet, so many others have experienced it as well. Vetyver is for the strong independent woman; Petales is about a summer’s romance or memory and Kalimantan represents the experiences of Sylvie while she traveled to and was in Borneo.
I immediately fell in love with Kalimantan! It was exotic and sensual and exciting! Much like my own experience when I went to Kota Kinabalu!
Chantecaille is available in all Art of Scent stores (Resorts World and Shangri-la Plaza East Wing).
